What I'm paid for

The elusive Mr M.

I write computer programs for food. Usually this involves back-end Internet programming, the interfaces between databases and the web, such as for eCommerce.

I also like working with Geographical Information Systems and benevolent ghosts.

What I do anyway

Rogaining

It's similar to orienteering, but it lasts for 24 hours. If you fancy jogging through the bush, getting prickled and bitten by strange animals then this may be the sport for you. Check out the Australian Rogaining Association pages for more details on what it is and how to get involved. Although it's most popular in Australia, events are spouting up around the world.

Circus skills

Inspired at an early age by Piccadilly Circus, I concentrated on mastering various skills which I hoped to find useful in everyday life.

My current goals are to juggle 5 balls at once, and to be able to remain stationary on the unicycle. (Moving forwards is easy, backwards is harder, and staying still is hardest.)

As I have no human-sized cannon, I'm afraid my plans to shoot myself over my house have been postponed indefinitely.
